Ceramic Wales
I will be at Ceramic Wales again in June. Looking forward to catching up with fellow potters and getting out and about for the first time in 2024!
Royal Cambrian Academy
This little creation will be shown as part of the Royal Cambrian Academy Open Exhibition. It is called Solitêr Oes y Cerrig and is based on cup and ring carvings and my response to items that would fit these spaces. Some pieces rattle, some have incised decoration, some are made from local clay.

Ceramic Wales
I will be taking part in Ceramic Wales for the third time and the second time at the stunning Bodryddyn Hall, Dyserth. I’ve been busy creating new pieces and look forward to showcasing them for the first time.
Uncommon Beauty
New work on show as part of a joint exhibition, Uncommon Beauty at Craft in the Bay, Cardiff. Curated by glass artist Verity Pulford the exhibition features 27 makers.
Scotland's Trade Fair
I will be attending Scotland’s Trade Fair for the first time since 2020. I’m looking forward to being back in Glasgow and meeting up with stockists and makers. Please note this is only for trade buyers and is not a public event.

Blue Magpie Craft Fair
I will be attending this lovely contemporary Craft Fair in November.
Blue Magpie Craft Fair will be open again this November, ready to bring some of the finest makers of crafts to Elmslie House, Malvern
Admission to the fair will be £3 on the door (by cash or card, accompanied children under 16 are free), which includes a wrist band allowing entry for all three days and entry into the Makers’ Raffle.
Enjoy homemade refreshments inside, including light lunches at the café at Elmslie House, or to take them away to savour at home.
There will be a changing line up of makers over each day of the fair – 26 each day, with over 50 in total over the weekend featuring designer-makers who work in ceramics, jewellery, textiles, glass and wood, as well as artists and illustrators exhibiting at the Fair, there will be plenty to choose from and be inspired by
Open Studio
I will be joining Verity Pulford at her studio in Eryrys, Near Mold from 27th to 29th August for an open studio event. To find Verity’s use Sat nav to The Sun Inn, Eryrys then follow the Open Studio signs.
Also taking part are Ruth Thomas and Tara Dean printmakers who will be opening at Ruth’s studio at Bryn Egwallt, Llandyrnog Denbighshire LL16 4NB. To find Ruth’s studio follow Sat nav to The Golden Lion at Llangynhafal, LL16 4LN continue in the direction of Llangwyfan for another mile and then look out for the Open Studio signs.
The studios will be open from 11am -4pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Bear Bakery Gathering
Local Chester and North Wales small businesses are gathering at the Bear Bakery on Saturday 6th August. Jewellery, ceramics, woodwork and lots of food!
SEAson
A joint exhibition of sea inspired original art by local artist Laura Bryson and ceramicist Kirsti Brown. Laura Bryson is an emerging artist living in Ballyclare. She is largely inspired by the sea and works in acrylic. Most of her paintings features the beaches and atmospheric skies of the County Antrim coast. Kirsti Brown’s range of stoneware ceramics are inspired by her love of wandering, drawing and daydreaming by the coast. Each of her ceramic vessels is hand built and influenced by the sea, beaches and cliffs around Wales and Scotland. The decoration is added to evoke shorelines, waves and landscape and features a distinctive vivid turquoise glaze.
BCTF Online
I will be taking part in BCTF online 15th to 17th May 2022. This is a trade only event and buyers will need to register with BCTF to view and download catalogues and price lists from UK makers.
